Unfortunately, the “free” thing may not necessarily be the case if Verizon is the carrier. They will find some day to disable the GPS built into the phone and charge you $15/mo to re-enable it and then you’ll have to use their over-branded version of the software, “Verizon Google Maps Verizon Street Verizon View Verizon VZW BITCHES HOW DO YOU LIKE US NOW”.
